In the pursuit of perfection...
Hellbender lightweight boats are purpose built adventure and hunting machines. While they are more than willing to pull double duty, Hellbenders are built with duck hunting in mind: layout and sneak boat style hulls. Designed by hunting guide, decoy carver, and outdoorsman Derek Bendell; the Hellbender was originally created to be used in Floridas STA's and "no motor zones". After a few years of 'benders being Floridas best kept secret, word soon got out. Now Hellbenders are shipped all over the country, and are enjoyed in all terrains and climates.
Many hunters customize their boats to their specific needs, including custom paint, flap doors, etc.
All Hellbenders were built by Derek himself until 2021. In 2021, Derek teamed with Nick Ireson, and IMC Boatworks.
Hellbenders are now built and shipped from Greenback, Tennessee, just a few minutes south of Knoxville. Buyers are welcomed to pick up in person rather than shipping.
The team at IMC boatworks is a small team of perfectionists who take great pride in the build quality of each boat. All boats are hand laminated.
